Strand Homes for Sale in Hermosa Beach CA
There are currently 3 homes listed for sale in the MLS in Hermosa Beach, CA. As you would expect, the prices are in the multiple millions. But what is not to be expected is that 2 of the 3 are new construction which is a good indication of how strong the housing recovery is and may continue to be.

A paved path, called The Strand, runs along Hermosa's beach from Torrance Beach in the south approximately twenty miles north to Santa Monica and stops at about Pacific Palisades. People may confuse The Strand with a "boardwalk." The Strand is not considered a "boardwalk," because it is not made out of wood boards.
There is also some confusion with The Marvin Braude Bike Trail which is the name of the paved bicycle path that runs mostly along the Pacific Ocean shoreline. The southern terminus of the trail is in Torrance County Beach in Torrance. The path is 22 miles long, and the midpoint between the two ends of the path is near the southern end of the Playa del Rey residential area.
In fact, the Braude Bike Trail and The Strand are one and the same through Hermosa Beach. The address of the homes is "The Strand" but the bike path itself was officially renamed for Los Angeles City Councilman Marvin Braude by State Senator Sheila Kuehl.
To keep it simple, just head down to the end of Pier Ave. You see the path with the amazing houses directly facing the ocean? Those homes are on "The Strand. Other than the absolutely unobstructable ocean views, what makes Strand home sunique is that they literally are "on the beach". Other beachfront property in LA County is not quite this much on the beach (except for Malibu which actually has homes literally suspended over the ocean).
