Playa Vista Real Estate: August Home Sales

 During August six homes closed escrow in Playa Vista. Two of the sales were foreclosures (REO), two were pre-foreclosure short sales, and two were standard equity sales. All the homes were classified as condos in the MLS although two were multi-level and may have been classified as a townhouse in other parts of town. The REO properties sold for the lowest prices followed by the short sales and the equity sales sold for the highest price. No surprise there.

Currently there are 48 homes listed for sale in the MLS and 24 in escrow. Of the properties in escrow over half are in some state of foreclosure - either short sales or REO. Based on this activity, we can only predict that prices will tumble further as buyers seek bargains.
